( 06 ) Grammaire
📚 Grammaire : I think + phrase, because / so / but / however, suggestions
A. I think + phrase
Après « I think », « I believe » ou « I feel that », on place une phrase complète (sujet + verbe). La forme négative se fait sur le verbe d’opinion : « I don't think it is a good idea ».
I think English is important.
Je pense que l’anglais est important.
I don't think it is a good idea.
Je ne pense pas que ce soit une bonne idée.
I believe online learning is useful.
Je crois que l’apprentissage en ligne est utile.
In my opinion, this book is interesting.
À mon avis, ce livre est intéressant.
B. because / so / but / however
« because » = parce que (la raison). « so » = donc (la conséquence). « but » = mais (le contraste, dans la même phrase). « however » = cependant (le contraste, en début de nouvelle phrase, suivi d’une virgule).
I like English because it is useful.
J’aime l’anglais parce que c’est utile.
The class was difficult, so I studied more.
Le cours était difficile, donc j’ai étudié davantage.
I like grammar, but I prefer speaking.
J’aime la grammaire, mais je préfère parler.
It is difficult. However, it is useful.
C’est difficile. Cependant, c’est utile.
C. Suggestions : should / could / Why don't we...? / How about...?
« We should... » = nous devrions (conseil fort). « We could... » = nous pourrions (proposition). « Why don't we...? » et « How about...? » servent à proposer une idée dans une discussion.
We should study together.
Nous devrions étudier ensemble.
We could discuss it tomorrow.
Nous pourrions en discuter demain.
Why don't we watch a video in English?
Pourquoi ne regarderions-nous pas une vidéo en anglais ?

My name is Daniel, and I have been learning English for two years. In my opinion, English is very important today. It helps people communicate with others from different countries. I also believe that English is useful for work and travel.
Learning English is not always easy. Sometimes grammar is difficult, and learning new vocabulary takes time. However, I think students should practice every day. They can watch videos, listen to English, read simple texts and speak with other learners.
I prefer learning English online because it is convenient. I can study at home and choose my own schedule. However, I also think that speaking with other people is very important.
