📚 Langage poli : I'd like / Could / Would it be possible
A. I’D LIKE — exprimer une demande polie
I’d like… est une formule très courante pour demander quelque chose calmement et poliment au service client.
I'd like a refund.
Je voudrais un remboursement.
I'd like to return this product.
Je voudrais retourner ce produit.
I'd like to speak to a manager.
Je voudrais parler à un responsable.
B. COULD — demander poliment
Could you…? est plus poli que Can you…? On l’utilise souvent avec les inconnus et au téléphone.
Could you check my order?
Pourriez-vous vérifier ma commande ?
Could you send me a replacement?
Pourriez-vous m’envoyer un remplacement ?
C. WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE — demande très polie
Cette structure est la plus formelle. Elle convient parfaitement pour une réclamation ou une demande délicate.
Would it be possible to get a refund?
Serait-il possible d’obtenir un remboursement ?
Would it be possible to change the delivery date?
Serait-il possible de changer la date de livraison ?
Résumé : I’d like… = demande polie · Could you…? = demande très polie · Would it be possible…? = demande formelle.

📚 because, so, but & however
A. BECAUSE — donner une raison
because introduit la cause ou la raison d’une action.
I am calling because there is a problem with my order.
J’appelle parce qu’il y a un problème avec ma commande.
B. SO — exprimer une conséquence
so relie une cause à sa conséquence.
The product is damaged, so I'd like a replacement.
Le produit est endommagé, donc je voudrais un remplacement.
C. BUT — exprimer une opposition simple
but sert à montrer une contradiction entre deux idées.
I like your company, but I'm not satisfied with this service.
J’aime votre entreprise, mais je ne suis pas satisfait de ce service.
D. HOWEVER — exprimer une opposition formelle
however est plus formel que but. Il s’utilise souvent au début d’une phrase, suivi d’une virgule.
The product is good. However, it arrived late.
Le produit est bon. Cependant, il est arrivé en retard.
